What is a Johan Cruijff ArenA certificate?
An ArenA certificate is a registered share certificate of Stadion Amsterdam N.V., once issued to help finance the construction of the stadium. It gives the holder the exclusive right to take up a season ticket for their own seat and to reserve the first tickets for every public event in the ArenA. No time limit is attached to that right.

Registered by name
The certificate is registered by name and issued by Stichting Administratiekantoor Stadion Amsterdam, the foundation that administers the stadium's shares. Holders are recorded in the register of certificate holders. You do not own a loose ticket, but a registered right linked to you or to your company.
What the certificate gives you
The core is the exclusive right to take up a season ticket for your own seat, every season, for all Eredivisie home matches of Ajax. On top of that, the certificate carries the right to reserve the first tickets for every public event in the stadium, from European nights to concerts. Certificate holders also have their own entrance. Depending on the class, extras such as restaurant rights or parking apply.
A right, not an obligation
You are not obliged to take up a season ticket every season. If you skip a season, the stadium may offer that seat per event to others. Your right simply remains.
Where the certificates come from
The certificates were issued from December 1990 onwards, to help finance the construction of what was then the Amsterdam ArenA. No new certificates have been issued since. The full story is in the history of the ArenA certificates.
How to get one
New certificates do not exist: a certificate only ever changes hands. We offer a limited number of existing certificates and guide the transfer from start to finish. View the certificates on offer or register your interest, without obligation.
